Morgan Photography LLC provides
flexible rates and terms for clients. Clients are not
forced to pay for packages that include a specified
number of prints at various sizes. If clients
carefully read the following information below and
understand how charges are assessed, they can
control how much they wish to spend and order exactly what they
need:
professional prints, images on a CD or a
combination of both.
Assignments
and Special Events Start at $150.00,
and Weddings Start at $1,100.00 |
The total cost
of hiring Morgan Photography to shoot a one hour
assignment or special event (except a wedding)
within the Columbia area starts at $150.00 (add
cost of prints and/or burning images to a CD or flash
drive, sales tax and shipping and handling). The total cost of
hiring Morgan Photography to shoot a three hour
wedding starts at $1,100.00 (add cost of prints
and/or burning images to a CD or flash drive, sales tax
and shipping and handling).
How Charges are Assessed:
For an assignment or a special event,
Morgan Photography charges a minimum of $150.00
for one hour or less + $120.00 for each
additonal hour rounded-down to the quarter-hour,
i.e., $30.00 per 15 minutes, plus expenses
(agreed upon in advance). So, the cost of shooting a two-and-a-half-hour
event within the Columbia area would be $330.00
NET for TIME
($150.00 + 180.00).
PRINTS AND/OR IMAGES
COST MORE. See Option One and
Option Two below to determine
additional charges.
When shooting a wedding, Morgan
Photography charges a minimum of $1,100.00 for
three hours or less + $120.00 for each
additional hour rounded-down to the
quarter-hour, i.e., $30.00 per 15 minutes, plus
expenses (agreed upon in advance).
So, the cost of shooting a five-and-a-half-hour
wedding within the Columbia area would be
$1,400.00 NET for
TIME
($1,100.00 + 300.00).
PRINTS AND/OR IMAGES
COST MORE. See Option One and
Option Two below to determine
additional charges.
Option One
(Ordering Prints):
Clients may order
professionally-processed prints (see pricing above) on Kodak Endura Paper (E-Surface or
Metallic) after viewing 72 dpi
400-pixel-wide (on longest side) unprocessed proofs (JPEGs).
After selecting and ordering prints from Morgan
Photography (see rates above), they will
receive an electronic copy of each print they
ordered by size up to 8" X 12" or 10" X 10" on a CD
or flash drive. This allows clients to archive
their electronic images and/or order additonal
prints later.
NOTE: Morgan Photography
uses the professional labs to produce the
highest quality prints, and the difference
between such prints and prints produced
elsewhere can be significant. Please read “Digital
Storage Policy” below.
Option Two
(Ordering Images Burned to a CD or Flash Drive):
Clients may order images on a CD or flash drive
instead of prints, but they will be responsible for
re-sizing their own images to produce smaller
prints. They must also remember the “rule of proportionately”
and understand how re-sizing such images might
affect how their prints are cropped. Unless
properly “canvas-sized” before
ordering, photo labs might crop their prints a
little across the top and bottom or left and
right when prints are ordered at smaller sizes.
For example, an 8" X 12" image produces a 5" X
7.5" and 4" X 6" prints. An 8" X 10" image
produces 5" X 6.25" and 4" X 5" prints. Most
photo labs only produce standard-size prints.
For a DSF of $3.00 per photo, however, customers may hire
Morgan Photography to canvas-size images when
necessary to produce proportionately smaller
prints.
Morgan Photography shoots approximately 50
photos per hour. So, the cost of processing 50
photos taken over a one-hour period would be
$150.00. NOTE:
Option
one (ordering prints) can be the more affordable
when clients select and order a smaller number
of prints from Morgan Photography.
Option two (ordering images burned to a CD or
flash drive) can be the more affordable for
short special events, including weddings, when
clients wish to receive all images and produce
prints elsewhere as needed.
IMPORTANT:
Unless Morgan Photography is familiar with the
business, organization or individual hiring to
shoot a special event (including a wedding), a
personal meeting between Morgan Photography and
the potential client is required. For a number
of important reasons, a personal meeting is
required with anyone
wishing to hire Morgan Photography to shoot a
wedding. Morgan Photography accepts assignments
to shoot special events within the Columbia
area, and only makes exceptions to this rule in
special situations.
